Child Protection

Child protection in Afghanistan is a critical issue, exacerbated by conflict, economic hardship, and cultural practices. Efforts to improve children’s rights and well-being require comprehensive, multi-faceted approaches that address both immediate humanitarian needs and long-term development goals.

ESAAR is committed to continue to work in Afghanistan to address child protection issues through education, active emergency response, and advocacy. However, the volatile security situation makes it challenging to implement long-term solutions. There are also efforts to engage with local communities, including religious leaders, to change harmful cultural practices.

as we know child health is the foundation of all growth and development, we aim to Undertake programmatic actions which address major child health issues, promote education on child health issues, encourage and aid training and research in all aspects of child health, advocate for the basic and general rights of children, and collaborate and cooperate with national, regional and international agencies with similar interests in promoting the health and rights of children. we intend to extend education to underprivileged children in Afghanistan and develop innovations that improve the quality of primary education for children, We have started our activity in 2020, In the beginning, we have had faced some difficulties as a Lack of necessary experience, a Lack of financial resources as well as lack of necessary communication with social parties, but after coordinating with some institutions, such as the Kandahar Information and Culture Department, Civil Societies Assembly and Kandahar Youth Affairs Directorate, we were able to start our activity in Kandahar province with the hope of reaching our goals.
